Start at the recreation ground on Buntingsdale Road

1 Go down Buntingsdale Road and turn right onto Bentley Road.

2 Pass 2 houses on left then turn left into a lane.

3 At the bend take the narrow footpath down the side of the house on the left, eventually emerging at the bottom of Buntingsdale Road.

4 Turn left to follow Bottom Lane to the end.

5 Turn left climbing to turn right onto the path between two high walls. Pass to the left of the circular enclosure and follow the path.

6 Go straight on at the lane to reach Quarry Bank Road and turn left. (Short Cut – Follow Quarry Bank Road to
Christ Church Lane, turning left at church back to start).

7 Turn left onto Tern View and descend carefully to follow Bottom Lane.

8 Half way along Bottom Lane, turn right up Quarry House Lane, climbing gently.

9 Emerge onto the road and go straight on to reach Buntingsdale Road and start.

(To extend the walk by ½km cross the Recreation Field to School Lane. Turn left then left again down Bentley Road to point 2)
